The Car Wash (Lava Jato) scandal, beginning in Brazil and extending across all of South America, is the largest corruption scandal in modern memory. In this chapter of an edited volume about the Lava Jato scandal, Matthew Stephenson and I discuss how countries can move forward after large-scale corruption scandals and investigations.
